How did HE do THIS in 1979?!

This crazy short film, The Wizard of Speed and Time, was made in 1979 by Mike Jittlov as a solo project to showcase his craft. One could say he succeeded at this, as shortly after its release, he was hired as a Disney animator. What makes it even more impressive is that everything in it was achieved either through in-camera tricks or edits made directly on the physical film. Have you seen it?
